A Day in Pekalongan, The Heartbeat of Siklus 3.0

On August 11, 2025, we took a one-day trip to Pekalongan with Wilsen Willim & his team. It wasn’t just a visit on the calendar, it was a journey back to the roots of why Siklus exists. Pekalongan, with its deep Indonesian batik soul, welcomed us once again, reminding us that heritage is never far away.

We started the day at Pawon Simbah, a humble and homey spot that felt like sitting at an old friend’s table. The food was simple but full of warmth, the kind that instantly makes you feel at home. It was the perfect beginning, a reminder that culture isn’t always found in grand gestures, but often in the small, comforting details.

From there, we went to see our artisans. This is always the moment that grounds us. We didn’t just check the process; we sat down, chatted, laughed, and listened. Their hands told stories as they pressed each batik stamp with patience and devotion. Watching the motifs slowly unfold reminded us once again that what we create together isn’t just clothing, it’s a dialogue between tradition and today, between memory and the moment we’re living in now.

By the time the day ended, we felt closer not only to our artisans but also to the city itself. Pekalongan embraced us, and that embrace became part of Siklus 3.0.

The Rhythm of Siklus

That day, we were reminded of what Siklus truly means. Just like its name, it is about cycles, the kind that return, renew, and carry on. From the beginnings of Siklus 1.0 to the strength of Siklus 2.0, each chapter has carried its own rhythm. Now, with Siklus 3.0 the rhythm feels lighter, fresher, and closer to our everyday.

Batik has traveled far with us, to red carpets and world stages. But its truest place? It has always been with you, woven into your daily rhythm, carried in both quiet and celebratory moments.

In Every Line, A Story

The artisans in Pekalongan used the stamped batik technique again for this collection. The pinwheel motif remains at the heart, but this time it’s reimagined with lines that feel simple yet quietly intricate. Each stamp connects to the next, leaving no gaps. Just flow, just rhythm, like bonds that never break, like cycles that never really end.

When we held the first finished pieces in our hands, we felt the mix of tradition and today, voluminous yet refined silhouettes, corset details, playful ties, and even unisex options. They weren’t just clothes; they were stories made wearable. Stories that can slip into our morning routines as easily as they can accompany our late-night dinners.

Everyday Batik, Alive

For so long, batik has been saved for “special occasions”, weddings, ceremonies, or even kept behind glass as something untouchable. But with Siklus 3.0, we wanted something different. We wanted batik that breathes with us, walks with us, laughs with us. Pieces that don’t wait in closets, but live fully in the day-to-day, whether that’s a Monday meeting, a Friday night, or a quiet Sunday morning.

The fabrics are light and comfortable, the designs versatile, the feeling timeless. Wearing them feels effortless, as if heritage has always been a part of us.

And so, Siklus 3.0 carries with it not just the legacy of what came before, but the promise of what continues. Every line, every motif, every stitch is a reminder: the cycle does not end. It lives on in us, renewed every day. Now, it's your turn to embrace your Siklus, here.
